Good news coming for PS4 owners that they don’t have to wait for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. It’s true that 100-player battle royale game may be exclusive to the Xbox One and PC this year but that hasn’t stopped other games on the PS4 from picking up the slack. Epic Games’ Fortnite will feature a new mode called Fortnite Battle Royale. Which is not only restricted to Play stations but also available for the PC and Xbox One versions of the game as well.

Newly updated post on Epic Games website has stated that “We are excited to announce a new model officially coming to Fortnite players on September 26: Fortnite Battle Royale. 100 players. One giant map. A battle bus. Fortnite building skills and destructible environments are combined with intense PvP combat. The last commander standing wins.” The post further added that “Just open the game and select Battle Royale. We expect the servers will probably break and there will be other crashes and bugs during the Public Test.”

Moreover, Epic Games is open about the influence of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on Fortnite, going as far as to mention it by name.
