Huawei launched Honor 7X in an event in China on Wednesday. Honor 7X is the upgraded version of the Honor 6X which was launched last year. Honor 7X is also a dual camera phone. But, it has horizontal camera setup in place of vertical dual camera setup present on Honor 6X. The smartphone comes with an aspect ratio of 18:9, which is becoming a trend these days. It has a Full HD+ 5.93 inch 2.5D curved display, which has a resolution of 2160×1080. It is taller than Honor 6X (5.5 inches). Honor has tried to reduce bezels on this phone. It comes with thin bezels. Honor 6X has 407 PPI. The phone is made up of a metal body and is 7.6 mm thick. The weight of Honor 7X is 165g.

Honor 7X is powered by an octa-core Kirin 659 processor, it has 8 Cortex-A53 cores. It comes with Mali-T830 GPU. It has 4 GB RAM. It has 3340 mAh battery, which can last for a day with normal usage. It also supports Huawei’ s SuperCharge Technology. The latest Honor device comes in 3 variants – 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. The phone supports dual sim, the second sim slot is a hybrid one and can be used for inserting Micro-SD card up to 256 GB.

On the back, Honor 7X features a dual camera setup. One of the cameras is 16 MP, another camera is of 2 MP. Dual camera supports portrait mode and bokeh effect. For selfie, it features an 8 MP camera on the front. It runs on EMUI 5.1 which is based on Android 7.1. Android Oreo was expected from this device. Huawei told that Oreo update will come soon. It comes with IP 67 certification, which means that it is dust resistant can sustain little water damage.

In China, people can buy it from 17th October. The cost of 32 GB variant is 1,299 yuan (Rs 12,890), for 64 GB variant is 1,699 yuan (Rs 16,850) and 128 GB variant is priced at 1,999 yuan (Rs 19,820). It is expected to launch in India in December-January.
